◾ Two prenatal visits which include educational and emotional support as well as help writing a birth & pain management plan. We will cover choices you have in your labor and delivery as well as ensure you have plans in place for your postpartum period. In addition, we will review options you have for your newborn care. I help provide resources that bridge the gap with referrals to local providers as needed and desired. These sessions are catered to what you need.
Optional: Attendance at 1 prenatal appointment with your care provider in place of 1 prenatal visit. Additional days available for a fee.
◾ Open availability through text, email, or phone calls for questions and encouragement as needed during pregnancy until 6 weeks postpartum.
◾ On call 24/7 beginning two weeks before your estimated due date until birth and two weeks afterward.
◾ Continuous support throughout your labor and birth will help ensure you are getting the support you want and need. Help you follow your plan, adjust and educate when needed. I use specific training taught by DONA to help the birthing person throughout labor to assist with continuous progression through a series of positional movements. Show the birthing person’s partner, if available and desired, a lot of these methods to aid them in working together throughout labor. If breastfeeding I can assist/observe the baby's first latch and provide basic lactation support. I will stay until parent(s) and baby are settled, usually 1-3 hrs postpartum.
◾ One in-home postpartum visit to answer questions, provide resources, do the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale assessment, talk through your birth experience and check-in on where you are in recovery. I’ll assist in making you feel more supported be it light housework, cooking a meal, watching the baby or older siblings while you nap or run errands. (This visit is 2-4 hours. Additional hours available for a fee).
